Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website reima.com/en

Reima strives to guarantee the accessibility of its website in compliance with the Act on the provision of digital services 306/2019 (Finlex, available in Finnish and Swedish). The technical requirements for the Act are specified in the technical standard for websites and mobile apps, EN 301 549 v.3.2.1 (pdf), which closely follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 AA level.

The statement is based on an accessibility evaluation carried out by an external expert organisation (Vincit Oy).

The statement was prepared on May 28, 2025, and was last updated on June 24, 2025.

Visuals

● Contrast: Some text over images has insufficient contrast (WCAG 1.4.3)

● Non-text contrast: Some interactive elements have insufficient contrast on Windows High Contrast mode (WCAG 1.4.11)

● Zoomed and mobile screen: When the screen is zoomed to 400% or on mobile screen, fixed UI components take up a large part of the screen space, affecting the efficient use of the site. Some content also requires horizontal scrolling (WCAG 1.4.10, 2.4.11)

● Resize text: When text is resized to 200%, some text is cut off the screen and cannot be accessed, or overlap other text (WCAG 1.4.4)

Structure

● Headings: Few headings are not implemented as headings or not ordered hierarchically (WCAG 1.3.1)

● Modal dialogs: Dialogs are not identified with an accessible name (WCAG 4.1.2)

● Search results: When there are no search results, the heading is not descriptive enough (WCAG 2.4.6)

● Page titles: On some pages, the page title do not clearly describe the main purpose or topic of the page, or is not efficiently communicated (WCAG 2.4.2)

Navigation

● Link purpose: Some link texts are not descriptive enough for screen reader users, e.g. Read more, Buy here, Details (WCAG 2.4.4)

Images and graphics

● Alternative text: Some images are missing alternative text or have text that is not descriptive enough, e.g. product images, size measurements graphic (WCAG 1.1.1)

● Decorative images: Some decorative images have unnecessary alternative text (WCAG 1.1.1)

Login and registration

● Contrast: The color contrast for the password instructions is insufficient (WCAG 1.4.3)

● Non-text contrast: The color contrast for checkboxes is insufficient (WCAG 1.4.11)

● Labels: The input field for email code verification is missing a label (WCAG 3.3.2)

● Label in name: The visual label for the Back link do not match its accessible name (“Cancel”) (WCAG 2.5.3)

● Input purpose: The login field cannot be autofilled from saved data, because their input purpose is not properly set (WCAG 1.3.5, 3.3.8)

● Page titles: The title for login pages do not clearly describe the main purpose or topic of the page, all have same title (WCAG 2.4.2)

Checkout and payment confirmation

● Contrast: The color contrast of error messages and Order summary button (on mobile view) is insufficient (WCAG 1.4.3)

● Accessible name: the Google Pay button is missing accessible name (WCAG 4.1.2)

● Meaningful sequence and focus order: The Order summary (and discount code) is in the reading and focus order after the Pay button and footer section. On the payment confirmation page, the Order summary is in the reading and focus order after the Continue shopping button (WCAG 1.3.2, 2.4.3)

● Required fields: Required input fields are not visually indicated (WCAG 3.3.2)

● Language: The checkout and confirmation pages language are set to “en-Fi”, which is an invalid language tag (WCAG 3.1.1)

● Input purpose: Some input fields on the checkout form has invalid attribute for their input purpose (WCAG 1.3.5)

● Redundant labeling: On the checkout page, input fields have a redundant labeling attribute that can cause unexpected behavior for screen readers (WCAG 4.1.2)

We use many external payment services in different countries, and we have not tested the accessibility of all of them. Please let us know if you encounter any accessibility issues during payment.
