    Jumpsuit for the next winter

    I wanted a snowsuit that will be used next winter. The pictures on the website, showing the suit on children of different sizes (same size, but different heights), helped me assess the size.     Warm and fair sizing. I ordered

    Warm and fair fit. I initially ordered a 104cm suit of a different brand from an online second-hand store, but it was small for our approximately 100cm child. The Reima 104cm suit has been suitable for -20°C January frosts, and it comfortably fits a merino wool and fleece base layer and a wool sweater underneath. A downside is the hood; it is not particularly warm, and when the fasteners are applied, they stick out in front of the chin and mouth, irritating the skin. A Karelian hood would better protect the cheeks from the wind, even if it had an opening under the chin. There are no snow locks in the legs in this model, but the rings seem durable and work well if you have higher boots.

    Every knee on the suit

    Unfortunately, moisture permeable at the legs

    We have now been able to test the suit in wind and weather, and unfortunately, my son gets wet legs and socks every time after playing in the snow. It lacks an extra lining like ski pants, which also goes around the boots and thus prevents snow from entering. The pants do not have such a double lining but are just like any normal pants. Also, the elastic band does not help. It's a real shame, as the suit is otherwise really top-notch as described, but it is not suitable for playing in the snow, skiing, and sledding.

    so far ok but has quality issues

    my son has only worn it maybe 8 times since I purchase it back in November. he attends A nature based preschool and is outdoors rain/snow or shine so I had wash it twice (following care instructions of course) already when its muddy. but just last week, I saw the reflector tape on the sleeve already peeling. kind of surprised that it didn't last 2 washes. I will be contacting customer service.
