    Cold gloves

    Waterproofness hasn't even been properly tested. VERY cold mittens. I'd rather put woolen mittens and waterproof gloves on my child (which stay warm even when wet!) or the domestically made Satu mitten, which repels water well and even if they get wet, keep fingers warm. These might keep dry, but the child's fingers are completely freezing. Not going to continue with these. Really expensive and still quite crappy.

    Error in the product

    The gloves would have certainly been good, but the lining of one of them was sewn for the wrong hand. It was impossible to get the thumb in the right place. However, the issue was quickly resolved by customer service.

    low quality of material for mittens

    Unfortunately I had to give these mittens a bad rating because after the first use outside they developed cracks and the top layer of material just peeled off in some places. I was very surprised by this, as my children have been wearing Reima clothes and accessories for many years, and this is the first time we have had such an experience.

    Style changed

    Ordered these thinking they were the same ones as I ordered last year ( they look identical ) but they are much thinner and more of a splash mitt, not warm enough for Saskatchewan winters at all. More of a spring mitt, which is fine but not what we were expecting because we loved the winter mitts we ordered from last year - but product has changed.

We did update the material on the Askare mittens - from a coating to a lamination, which results in a 10g weight difference and a slightly thinner feel overall. That said, the technical performance remains the same. If you’re looking for a thicker winter mitten, we’d recommend our best-seller, Ote!

    Best mittens

    Best mittens for the spring/autumn season. I like this color because it's different from what other kids in kindergarten have, even though the color itself is not very practical (beige). Since we have been using the same mittens continuously and don't have to worry about sizes, we just buy the next size up, and the size has not been a problem.

    Not a warm mitt it's very thin

    I had expected the glove to be suitable for winter, but it appears to be more of a spring glove that is meant to be worn over another glove. I looked on the website and couldn't find a warm glove to wear underneath.
