Tested by children themselves

Reima has long worked in partnership with Finnish nurseries where the products we're putting into production are tested under actual conditions. Our latest test nurseries are Ritari nursery in Rovaniemi in Northern Finland and Torikatu nursery in Kankaanpää in Western Finland. Our clothes are also tested by the children of Reima's own staff.  Feedback is gathered by e-mail and at the end of the test period Reima collects the products for further checks.

Test Patroltest programme

Every year Reima selects about 20 children and their parents (in Finland and Russia) for the Reima Test Patrol testing group. Group members are sent Reima products to test in normal family life. We use the practical experiences and opinions received to help us develop our products to better meet the demands of children and their parents.

In the lab

We also put our products through laboratory testing. In the lab we test our garments' technical features such as waterproofing, windproofing, abrasion resistance, breathability, colourfastness in the wash and the tear resistance of the fabric. We carry out tests on the fabric before sewing and on the finished garments, also using random sampling.
